ClassificationandPropertiesofPolyesterFilms[PET]Polyesterfilmismadeofhighqualityfibregradepolyesterchip(viscosityis0.64)asthemainrawmaterial,usingadvancedprocessformula,throughdrying,melting,extrusion,castingandstretching.(1)Classificationofmaterialsandconsumingprocessesforconsumingpolyesterfilms Accordingtothedifferentrawmaterialsandstretchingprocessesusedinconsumingpolyesterfilms,theycanbedividedintothefollowingtwotypes:1.Bi-directionallyorientedpolyesterfilm(BOPET)isakindofhigh-gradefilmwithhighstrength,rigidity,transparencyandluster,whichismadebyaddingtitaniumdioxideintotheoriginalpolyesterchip,throughdrying,melting,extrusion,castingandlongitudinalandtransversestretching.BOPETfilmhasthecharacteristicsofhighstrength,goodrigidity,transparencyandhighgloss.Taste,colourless,non-toxic,outstandingstrengthandtoughness;itstensilestrengthisthreetimesthatofPCfilmandnylonfilm,impactstrengthisthreetofivetimesthatofBOPPfilm,withexcellentwearresistance,foldingresistance,pinholeresistanceandtearresistance;thermalshrinkageisverysmall,at120C,shrinkageisonly1.25%after15minutes;ithasgoodantistaticpropertyandeasytostop.VacuumaluminiumplatingcancoatPVDC,thusimprovingitsheatsealing,barrierandprintingadhesion;BOPETalsohasgoodheatresistance,excellentcookingresistance,lowtemperaturefreezingresistance,goodoilresistanceandchemicalresistance.Exceptfornitrobenzene,chloroformandbenzylalcohol,mostofthechemicalsinBOPETfilmcannotdissolveit.Therefore,itisofuniversaluse.
